Information System Engineer III (Commerce IT)

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Administers and designs compute and storage systems and recommends improvements necessary to ensure operation of Choctaw Nation systems.

Primary Tasks:

You will lead the design of enterprise storage environments, including enterprise storage arrays, fiber channel switches and Network Attached Storage (NAS)

  1. You will lead the design of enterprise compute environments, including virtualization hardware, physical servers, and hosted systems

  2. You will develop solutions and processes for reliable and stable data storage management, security, backup, restoration, archiving and replication

  3. You wil assure systems performance, stability, and security

  4. You will lead projects and will work across departments

  5. You will develop or help develop IT policy

  6. You will design, administer, and improve server OS, including Windows Server 2008, 2012 , and Redhat Linux

  7. You will implement, configure, and maintain Windows Active Directory environments

  8. You will design, configuring, and maintaining enterprise wide VMware environments

  9. You will apply company procedures to resolve issues promptly

  10. Other tasks as assigned

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

Ability to perform complex tasks

5 years of experience designing and managing system infrastructure based on best practices

Expert knowledge of Microsoft and VMWare system technologies (operating system and virtualization)

Microsoft MCSA, VMWare VCP, or greater certification or equivalent experience

Must be comfortable working in an accountable environment and maintaining flexible working hours

5 years' experience designing mission critical system infrastructure

You will report to IT Manager, Infrastructure Development.
