Location: Durant, OK
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The ID Specialist is in charge of various analytic tools. Import data from a system, database, process and/or department within CNO and create automated, repeatable reports, graphs and charts. Design and develop exception and trend reports and prepare graphical representations while working towards resolving audit and compliance problems.
Primary Tasks:
Develop reports and analytic tools with CNO core data systems.
Collect, manipulate, analyze, evaluate, and display highly complex data on small and large scales.
Extract qualitative and quantitative relationships, including patterns and trends from large amounts of data.
Apply technical and analytical expertise to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insights to a pressing business problem.
Use data visualization techniques to present complex data in the form of charts, graphs, visual simulations, and multimedia techniques to facilitate decision-making.
Perform other unique audit and risk-based projects as assigned by ACE leadership.
Work under general supervision with few direct instructions.
Carry out routine and semi-routine tasks as assigned including providing analytic services to departments outside of ACE.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
Bachelor's degree in related field (Information management, mathematics, statistics, finance, business, accounting). Willing to consider proven record with 5 years of data analytics experience in lieu of degree
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Strong analytical thinking
Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects
Great communication skills (advanced writing, listening, and customer service skills).
Ability to work cross functionally with various internal and external groups
Minimum of three years’ work experience in finance, audit, information systems, project management or business analyst arena
TARGET
Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Information Management – with emphasis on Data Mining
3 years’ experience querying databases using SQL and advanced understanding of MS Excel in order to provide timely and accurate information
3 years working with data analysis software and tools: preference to experience with IDEA, ACL.
3 years’ experience in statistics and mathematical optimization, forecasting and simulation.
Professional experience in working on multiple concurrent projects.
Great communication skills (advanced writing, listening, and customer service skills)
Prior experience working cross functionally with various internal and external groups
Minimum of seven years’ work experience in finance, audit, information systems, project management or business analyst arena and familiarity with CNO General Ledger or JDE parameters
