Grand Cafe Room Service Server Durant (Overnight)

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Room Service Server serves meals to hotel guests according to established rules of etiquette and must possess knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Deliver and collect food trays from guest rooms and keep hallways clear.

  2. Replenish supplies of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes at the room service station.

  3. Complete side work as deemed necessary by management to ensure the smooth operations of the department.

  4. Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.

  5. Maintain clean and sanitary conditions including counter tops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations.

  6. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

  7. Greet and serve guests in a friendly manner and use good customer relation skills.

  8. Other duties as may be assigned

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • ABLE Certification

  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly

  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory

  • Ability to focus attention to details, speed, and accuracy on all room service trays

  • Strong team work skills are required to allow for overall success and enjoyment of the guest

  • Previous Server or Wait Staff experience highly desired
