Finance ERP Analyst

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The ERP business analyst provides functional expertise, project coordination and overall advice for best business practices for Oracle Cloud ERP.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Implement new companies, business units, object codes, user defined codes, category codes, and sub-ledgers based upon specified criteria.

  2. Monitor and provide support of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system applications for batch security, administration, and finance helpdesk job tickets.

  3. Develop queries and reports within the software, and/or with third party software products.

  4. Develop user defined reports within available business applications.

  5. Provide support related to the Transform Accounts Payable (TAP) application for accounts payable including adding user profiles, end user training, applying category security, approval matrix support.

  6. Monitor user row security to ensure security integrity for TAP data entry.

  7. Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of business practices and recommend strategies for the improvement of these practices.

  8. Assist with training staff in the user of ERP and TAP system applications.

  9. Partner with end users to define business requirements and system goals, and identify and resolve business system’s issues.

  10. Other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

  • Knowledge of related IT computer systems and software, and the ability to manage these

  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality material within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of issues relevant to the software modules including AR, AP, GL, and Fixed Assets

  • Have attention to detail ensuring accuracy, clarity and quality of work.

  • Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem solving abilities

  • Experience with report writing

  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and nontechnical language

  • Five (5) years’ experience with ERP implementations on an Oracle or IBM AS/400 platform
