Description
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Executive Director of Gaming Marketing supports the Executive Officer of Gaming by providing strategic direction, leadership, and management of all Marketing, Advertising, Brand and Player Development activities across all Choctaw Nation casino properties. This position works with the Executive and Site Management teams to develop and implement the long- and short-term marketing and advertising strategic plans to optimize the brand and each properties position across all markets.
Primary Tasks:
Collaborate with Executive, Senior and Regional leadership to develop comprehensive brand strategies. Translate those strategies into corresponding regional marketing and advertising plans; ensures the effective execution of those plans across the brand.
Develop balanced marketing, advertising and sponsorship budgets to support effective strategy execution and ensure the appropriate allocation of resources to each area.
Provide leadership and direction to Regional Marketing, Player Development and Brand level leadership and ensure alignment across each discipline.
Build collaborative working relationships with all supporting shared services functions to create alignment and efficiency while cultivating influence across the organization (IT, HR, Strategy, Creative Services, Choctaw Nation Marketing, Operational Excellence, Finance, etc.).
Ensure the external advertising agency effort are properly aligned with the organization’s needs and strategic vision.
Partner with the Division of Strategy/Marketing Analytics to continuously evaluate and validate we are optimally positioned in each market, propose amendments to plans and budgets as needed to realign as needed.
Identify opportunities and eliminate barriers related to operational efficiency, desired workplace culture and optimal profitability.
Ensure all gaming properties are operated in compliance with applicable tribal, state, federal laws and ordinances and oversee the integrity of the gaming operations.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Advertising
Demonstrated ability to effectively function and deliver results with minimum supervision by completing projects independently; prioritizing tasks in successful completion, and performance effectively under pressure to deliver quality work product in a timely manner
Strong knowledge of casino operations
Ability to motivate and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships among departments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to make decisions quickly and delegate responsibilities accordingly and remain calm and manage multiple tasks in very high paced and stressful environment
Ten (10) years of progressive leadership with management experience directing a large, diverse, and sophisticated team
TARGET
Master’s Degree in Business Administration
Demonstrated ability to effectively function and deliver results with minimum supervision by completing projects independently; prioritizing tasks for succession completion, and performing effectively under pressure to deliver quality work product in time manner
Superior knowledge of casino operations
Strong ability to motivate and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships among departments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to make decisions quickly and delegate responsibilities accordingly, and remain calm and manage multiple tasks in very high paced and stressful environment
Twelve (12) years of operational and gaming management experience in a leadership role directing a large, diverse, and sophisticated team
