Director of IT Quality Management

Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Director of Quality Management is responsible for defining, planning, tracking, and managing projects for continued growth and organizational objectives. This position is responsible for leading a team of quality and business process professionals as they lead cross-functional projects that meet strategic goals. The core focus of this position is organizing people, resources, and overseeing improvements from inception to completion. 

Primary Tasks:

  1. Direct, coach, and develop a team of Quality Analysts and Business Process Analysts. 

  2. Develop and implement standardized continuous improvement and quality analysis processes, tools, metrics, and policies. 

  3. Develop a robust and flexible set of quality management methodologies that are applied consistently throughout the organization. 

  4. Ensure quality management standards can be widely adopted and delivered through training, work procedures, quality objectives, best practices, lessons learned, and metrics for assessing progress.

  5. Responsible for analyzing procedures and identifying areas where process redesign will enhance accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency to obtain appropriate improvements.

  6. Establish relevant quality assurance tools to monitor, review, and evaluate the ticket lifecycle within the IT organization.

  7. Collaborate with business units to ensure root-cause analysis is incorporated into the corrective action development that was identified from a quality or a process perspective.

  8. Collaborate with leadership to ensure successful delivery of projects consistent with strategic plans.  

  9. Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. 

  10. Perform other duties as may be assigned. 

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or related field preferred.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills

  • Must be highly motivated, self-initiating, and trustworthy

  • Ability to lead and manage technical staff

  • 7 years of directly related experience in managing and leading business process analysts, along with experience with all of the policies, procedures, and practices

  • Strong Knowledge of the following methodologies: ITIL, Six Sigma, Agile

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or the ability to obtain Green Belt within one year.

  • Strong understanding Service Desk, IT Service Management, and general IT Processes.

  • Strong Knowledge of process development, process mapping, concepts, and techniques.

  • Strong Knowledge of the following tools: Microsoft Office Products, IT Service Management tool, IT Asset Management tool.

  • Good understanding of Agile and Scrum development methodology a plus.

  • Related IT Certifications strongly preferred

TARGET

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems or MBA

  • Must possess excellent communication skills
