Development Specialist

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Development Specialist performs a range of tasks that support associates in identifying and furthering career plans. Plan and implement activities that assist associates in discovering training opportunities to strengthen the necessary skills, and attributes needed for professional progression.

Full-Time

Pay: $66,497.00 yearly

Days - Monday- Friday

Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Primary Tasks:

  1. You will collaborate with managers and leadership to create Job Readiness approaches that can be turned into learning plans and success profiles.

  2. You will collaborate with associates to identify development goals; create, update, and organize learning plans and success profiles.

  3. You will implement outreach strategies for associates looking to continue professional development.

  4. You will train associates to use the Hoshonti Career Development module to analyze data.

  5. You will modify and maintain a library of development resources that informs associates of educational and development opportunities that align with learning plans and success profiles.

  6. You will administer follow-up surveys with associates to assess the outcomes of development plans and projects.

  7. You will coordinate assessments and use the results to support associates; Initiate the enrollment process of CNO trainings to achieve learning and development goals.

  8. You will deliver presentations that promote individual development plans, learning plans, success profiles, career growth, and succession planning.

  9. You will conduct research, observations, and interviews with relevant partners for each identified position and level.

  10. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Adult Education or related field.

  • Ability to relate to other people in a supportive and positive environment.

  • Solid communication skills in written and oral form, including electronic media.

  • Ability to work with associates from diverse backgrounds, with differing personalities, challenges, and motivations.

  • Ability to seek out information and research data and findings.

  • Handling of confidential information

  • Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.

  • Two (2) years’ full-time work experience in education, counseling, or related field.
