Data Analyst 4 (Commerce)

Description

Job Summary: Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to facilitate optimum usage and movement of volumes of data. Strategically aligns Commerce data and data resources and leads the effort to monitor and optimize movement of data to help ensure stakeholders at all levels have access to information.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Develop and administer strategies for the control and sharing of organization data resources and services.

  2. Create interfaces between systems to extract, transform and load data from source systems into target systems.

  3. Create or utilize various monitoring tools to assist monitoring of interfaces and applications.

  4. Establish links across existing data sources and find new, interesting relationships between data sources.

  5. Work with development team, database administrators, analytics team members and business partners to translate prototypes into production.

  6. Assist in development of data management and application management policies and procedures.

  7. Provide training and guidance to data and application stakeholders.

  8. Other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, computer programming or related field

  • 4-5 years’ experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources

  • 4-5 years’ experience using SSIS or other ETL platforms to integrate and move data between systems

  • 4-5 years’ experience development experience in monitoring tools like Application Insights or AppDynamics.

  • 1-2 years experience development of and interacting with API’s

  • 1-2 years experience using software provisioning tools like Ansible

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent people and communication skills

  • Must be highly motivated, self-initiating, and trustworthy

  • 8-10 years years of professional related experience

TARGET

  • Master’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics or related field

  • 6 years’ experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources

  • 6 years’ experience using SSIS or other ETL platforms to integrate and move data between systems

  • 6 years’ development experience in monitoring tools like Application Insights or AppDynamics

  • 2 years experience development of and interacting with API’s

  • 2 years experience using software provisioning tools like Ansible

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent people and communication skills

  • Must be highly motivated, self-initiating, and trustworthy

  • 8-10 years years of professional related experience
