Description
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Complete trouble shooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on all types of plumbing, mechanical and industrial equipment.
Start Rate: $25.90
Primary Tasks:
Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
Install, repair and maintains chilled water, steam, heat, water, gas, drainage, sewage, pumps, drinking fountains and other plumbing systems.
Trouble shoot plumbing problems and performs general maintenance and repairs for all boilers, hot water tanks, steamers, heaters and related items.
Operate reamers, threading discs, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes and other plumbing equipment and hand tools.
Inspect joints, valves, pumps, boilers, heaters, sinks, commodes, tanks, valves and other plumbing system components to locate malfunctions and repairs, replaces and or unstops clogs as necessary.
Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
Plan, coordinate, and complete work utilizing staff, and/or outside contractors, new installations including alterations and modifications to existing infrastructure.
Inspects the work of outside contractors on behalf of Choctaw Casinos and provide reports requested.
Winterize facilities.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
Master/Contractor Plumbing License
Ability to work independently to perform complex duties of a more specialized nature, frequently requiring independent analysis and decision-making.
Ability to read and understand mechanical and equipment drawings.
Ability to effectively present information either orally or in writing to other employees, supervisors, engineering personnel, and client representatives
10 years of commercial plumbing experience working with piping up to 10”.
TARGET
Completion of a four year federally approved technical training program in plumbing preferred.
Ability to work independently to perform complex duties of a more specialized nature, frequently requiring independent analysis and decision-making.
Ability to read and understand mechanical and equipment drawings.
Ability to effectively present information either orally or in writing to other employees, supervisors, engineering personnel, and client representatives
15 years commercial/master plumbing experience
