Beverage Director
Description
Job Purpose or Objective(s) : The Beverage Director has complete responsibility of all Beverage Operations in the casino and directly responsible for ensuring associates are trained and practice responsible alcohol awareness and guest service.
Primary Tasks:
Direct management of all Beverage operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching and counseling, auditing/inspecting work to ensure standards are met, promoting teamwork and inclusiveness, scheduling, conducting performance management with staff (reviews, address sub-standard performance).
Enforce compliance of the alcoholic beverage commission regulations.
Monitor associates for adherence to Oklahoma ABLE laws and Choctaw Nation policies.
Oversee programs and processes to identify efficiencies and to reduce costs in all areas of responsibility.
Maintain positive client and guest relations; respond to client requests and ensure alignment with company standards; investigate and follows through on client and guest complaints.
Achieve Beverage operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; determining system improvements and implementing change.
Develop budget and monitor profitability of Beverage operations; recommend and establish pricing and portions for products and services within approved profit and plan guidelines. Manage operating expenses and labor costs.
Apply government/tribal health regulations and assure those standards are met.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
Four (4) year degree in Hospitality or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ServSafe Certification
Highly organized, detailed oriented, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP, including CCT operation.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Strong POS operational and programming experience.
Knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations.
Proficient in operational financial management accountability and budgeting.
Three (3) years progressive management experience in a high volume beverage gaming operation that includes Banquets, Entertainment multiple bars and restaurants with a minimum of 2000 slots.
TARGET
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, Foodservice or related field or equivalent work experience.
ServSafe Certification
Extremely organized, detail oriented, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP, including CCT operation.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Strong POS operational and programming experience.
Expert knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations.
Expert in operational financial management accountability and budgeting.
Five years (5) progressive management experience in multi-unit beverage operations including exceptional knowledge of spirits, wine, beer.in a high volume gaming environment.
