Description
Average Pay: $16/hour
Job Summary: The server assistant’s responsibilities include the ability to stay focused on the job while on your feet moving about freely, which can include climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and carrying items weighing 25- 50 pounds. Must have a positive upbeat attitude and respond politely to guest requests and anticipate their needs. Adhere to safety and health standards at all times.
Primary Tasks:
Aid servers in the serving of dining guests.
Abide by Choctaw Nation policies on safe food handling.
Assist servers on the delivery of beverage and food in the appropriate order paying close attention to the 5-star dining experience.
Greet and welcome guests and respond to their requests in a courteous and friendly manner.
Set/reset tables with appropriate linen and smallwares always following food & beverage standards.
Perform side work according to duties assigned by manager always providing a safe and clean work environment.
Quickly remove dishes as guests finish each course or when empty dishes are visible.
Ensure areas are clean, organized and restocked continually throughout shift.
Understand safety responsibilities as well as environmental laws by following established procedures, policies, and training.
Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
ABLE Certification- 18 years old to serve, 21 years old to bartend.
Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from guests, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies.
Ability to calculate basic math functions.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Strong team work skills are required to allow for overall success and enjoyment of the guest.
Must have basic knowledge of service standards, guest relations, food and beverage preparations as well as etiquette.
Previous Server or Wait Staff experience highly desired
TARGET
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from guests, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies.

Excellent team work skills are required to allow for overall success and enjoyment of the guest.

One (1) year of food server experience in a high volume, casual or upscale restaurant.
